Halverton & Co. works on intellectual property, technology and AI law, digital assets, startups and regulatory compliance. We practise in Jharkhand, Maharashtra and before the Supreme Court of India.
Why we exist
Products reach users long before regulation reaches products. A founder still answers to the Trade Marks Act, the IT Act and the DPDP Act on day one. We exist to make that answerable.

Read the statute first
Our advice starts with the text of the Act and the rules under it. Then the case law. Then commercial practice. In that order.

Understand the product
We ask how it works, where the data sits and who signs the contracts. Advice given without that is guesswork.

Write it plainly
A contract or policy should be readable by the person who has to live with it. We draft short and specific.

Say what is unsettled
Indian law on AI, digital assets and data is still forming. Where the position is open, we say so, and we tell you what the risk is either way.
